Happy New Year everyone!
This is the start of my blackout year! New Years was fun. When it hit 12, we just
heard hundreds, and I mean hundreds, of fireworks! It sounded like they were
shooting them at our mq! haha. People here love their fireworks!
This
week we have been pushing on some of our investigators and we got a new one!
One of our members brought him to church and we taught him! We have some
appointments set up. His name is Lopini and he is from Australia! We can teach
him in English, so I feel like I actually contribute to the lessons rather than
just saying a couple easy sentences and my testimony haha.
We are also
working with this family who have gone inactive. They have a crazy story. One
of the sons went to Tonga High. He was at a party and 2 boys that went to
Liahona High School were there. The son has a Tonga High School seal on
his shoulder. (Backround: Liahona and Tonga High have a big rivalry and they
lowkey hate each other) The two Liahona kids jumped the son and beat him to death. It
is a very tragic story and we are trying to help them through this hard time
and bring them back to church. I know that this gospel can help them with this
loss and we are trying to help them realize that. It is an extremely sad story. Me and my comp almost started crying when we heard it. We try to go see
them as much as possible, to comfort them. We are trying to find new
investigators everyday and work with our inactive members. It is a grind out
here but I am loving it and I am no longer sick! So that is a huge plus!
Funny story my comp accidentally cut ALL my hair off. I told him that I want
to cut it short but not too short! I said to cut it with a #5 on my clippers. But
for some reason, he grabbed a #4! I know that you are thinking that can't be to much
a difference but in the pic my comps hair is a 5 and mine is a 4! Haha I
know that its just hair and that it will grow back so I wasn't that mad and I'm
all the way in Tonga so no one cares. haha.
That is my week I hope all of
